Alice Moloney

Alice has spent her 24 years in Sydney, Hong Kong and London. She studied Illustration at Kingston University and went straight on to complete a Masters degree in Communication Art & Design at the Royal College of Art, where she recently graduated from.

She is calling herself a Communication Designer for now as her work currently ranges from documentary illustration, hand-drawn typography, book illustration, experience design to visual communication design. Drawing is at the very core of her practice though and in the last year in particular she been exploring drawing itself as the subject matter of her work. In particular, questioning the value of the hand-drawn mark in ever-increasingly digital visual culture. Her most recent projects look at new ways of experiencing narratives and information systems. She aims to design experiences that have a positive affect on the behaviour of users in predominantly outdoor and digital environments.

Inspired by science, archeology, history, architecture and sociological textbooks Alice's work is often informed by factual and forgotten material.
