Originally from Romania Ana - Maria Pasescu - Stewart graduated from De Montford University of Leicester in 2006 launching her website featuring Product, Furniture, Jewellery, Set Design and Art direction in 2009. Ana - Maria is an experimental designer, always trying to make something out of nothing.
She has worked for Jam design, Phillipe Starck / BBC, Tom Dixon, Gillian O'Brien and many others working on projects for Teen Vogue, Veuve Clicquot, Nike and Evian.

'NEW' Bird of Paradise Necklace, the inspiration behind this piece comes from the elaborate mating rituals of Birds of Paradise. Such as the Cicinnurus and Parotia species which have highly ritualized dances.
The pieces will be available exclusively through www.wolfandbadger.com from the 4th of February 2010 and are limited to 100 editions.

Today i went to the London Aquarium and was so excited as i have never been! It was amazing! I felt like a kid in a candy shop, there was so much to look at! The colours of all the aquatic creatures was phenomenal, i sound like i have never seen a fish before but i fall in love very quickly especially if there are textures, colours and patterns involved. My favorites of the day were the jellyfish, i could watch them for hours! Then i came across three very inquisitive worms.

I was asked as one of 6 designers to attend and give a lecture at Lincoln Univesity in the LPAC building on my journey as a designer, from the very beginning up until now.
It was meant to be 20 mins each and i think we must have been talking for over 45 mins each (LONG)! This may not seem a lot to some, but i struggle ridiculously when it comes to public
speaking, the last time i did anything like this my creative director at the time had to step it as i froze with my mouth open gasping for words and it was only in front of about 30 people.
This time it was on a huge stage, i had 4 microphones which looked like tentacles trying to get me the lighting was blinding, however it did work in my favor as i could not see a thing
and it was in front of about 250 people or more, i have never been so petrified! It was a great experience in the end, i really enjoyed it and it left me feeling really overwhelmed.

I have only just finished my first limited collection of necklaces made from braided leather and brass studs which i am ecstatic about as the reception has been brilliant!
I am trying to evolved my own distinctive and experimental style, always exploring new materials and processes with recycling and longevity at the heart everything i do.
