Bjorn Rune Lie is a Norwegian illustrator who now lives and works in Bristol, England. Inspired by old botanical illustrations, Victorian glass houses, folk art, modernism and black and white films, Bjorn's pictures tends to be playful and humorous, yet rich in details and texture. They often feature (more or less) ordinary people in bizarre circumstances or vice versa; outlandish looking characters in an everyday setting.
As well as doing commissions for a range of clients, he also finds time to do his own artwork and book projects. He has written and illustrated two award winning Norwegian children's books and his third book "The Wolf's Whistle", published by Nobrow Press, London is out now.
He is terrible at updating his website which is: www.bjornlie.com
