Zoe Coombes and David Boira, are furniture designers working together under the studio name, 'Commonwealth'. Based in Brooklyn, New York, this Catalan-Canadian duo has worked with such culture savvy clients as film director, Timothy Saccenti. Issey Miyake, Warp Records, the MoMA.
Pursuing a craft-like connection between new technologies and timeless material techniques, Boira and Coombes design in a studio environment where a physical engagement with prototypes and models is key to developing the Commonwealth design vision- one that is as precise as it is tactile, voluptuous and wet.
