Jesse Hughes is the frontman of California based band Eagles of Death Metal. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, it could be said that it was the move to Palm Desert, California that was the beginning of the band. It was in high school in California that Hughes met his fellow band mate, Josh Homme (Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age) where Homme reportedly stopped a bully from picking on Hughes. Homme is attributed with giving Hughes his nick name of The Devil.
