I am a London based artist and a Senior Lecturer at Camberwell College of Art.
My practice deliberates over the ambiguity of the modern world and the effects of a modern fixation, the ideal image, on the everyday. Through artwork I set out to question the influence of external agencies and how these determine our perception of a beautiful image. I create work that tempts the viewer into a dialogue that queries the role of desire, need and want in their lives.
Having previously worked as both a graphic designer and freelance illustrator my practice can be defined by its broad spectrum of influences and disciplines consolidated by my passion for drawing. Painting and drawing continues to be my main focus of attention and I also produce limited edition publications in order to disseminate the ideas that underpin my work.
