Kapow Wow Objects specializes in handcrafted neckwear. The label produces constructed textile pieces which are exquisitely organic in form and spirit. Inspired by natural structures and emotional landscapes, each piece is a labour of love.The label was formed in London/2007 by Central St. Martins graduate, Mia Morikawa. Kapow wow pieces can be found in cult boutiques worldwide and has been endorsed by female icons Roisin Murphy, Ebony Bones, Bjork and has been featured in magazines: italian vogue, elle, harpers bazaar. booyakasha!
Mia Morikawa is the nomadic type and has no nationality. She's hard to remember but/impossible to forget. She hangs around with a special style of man. She's attracted by temptations and loves change. She lives right now and her surroundings are charged by her presence. Morikawa means forest/river.

also super excited about part/two of a collaboration between myself and artist rithika merchant >>> www.rithikamerchant.com in november 2009 we made this installation which was displayed in a lisbon shop window... and in 2010 we will do a longdistance web and post based project.
