Growing up in the Southern Californian surf, Paul graduated college with an arts degree in English/Creative Writing and set off to travel the world in search of stories.  However, he unexpectedly found himself in the fashion industry and utilized modeling to travel the world for the next decade.  During this exploratory era he realized his method of storytelling was through both words and images and proceeded to teach himself the art of photography. In 2006 he decided to be responsible and settled in New York as a full-time photographer, still refusing to believe that he isn't a character in a Hemingway novel.
