Penelope Seidler trained as an architect and is a patron of the arts. Penelope married Harry Seidler, the great Harvard trained Late Modernist architect, in 1958, and joined Seidler and Associates in 1964 as an architect and financial manager.
The late Harry Seidler is responsible for much of Sydney's civic and residential architecture. Penelope now stands as a member of The New York Museum of Modern Art's International Council.

Introduction
Internationally renown Australian based photographer, Derek Henderson recently visited the home of the late Harry Seidler, the man responsible for much of Sydney’s iconic architecture. Harry’s widow, Penelope, who has lived in the residence since 1967, was at home and agreed to be Derek’s model in the story.
