Robert Beson

Robert Beson is a founding member and director of AR-MA, an architectural firm focused on conceptual design, and fabrication and assembly strategies.  Educated in the United States and Australia, Robert Beson combines a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics from the Colorado College, a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney.

 As an architect, Robert has worked in the United States and Australia with a number of internationally recognised practices and institutions including Grimshaw Architects, Richard Goodwin Architecture, Offshore Studio, Terroir, Neeson Murcutt, Alisa Andrasek and UTS.  In 2010, Robert was awarded the Byera Hadley Traveling scholarship for research on fabrication and production of complex structures, conducted at the Zurich office of Design to Production, Switzerland.
 
Robert has acted as art director and curator for academic institutions, and continues to teach at UTS, the University of Sydney, and the University of Newcastle.
