2011 has began as excitingly as the past year ended. i had the opportunities to meet other amazing people: AA Bronson, Pamela Love, Jonathan Safran Foer whom I shot for Bon Magazine and Hanneli for the NY Times and many others. I enjoyed the craziest amount of snow i have seen falling on NY, sled (badly) at midnight in the middle of Soho, went to see the Magic Flute at the Metropolitan Opera, and picked up my violin again.
now getting ready for Milan fashion week that I will cover the New York Times T Magazine and Dossier Journal, so at least I will have few days to enjoy my native country.
all this makes me so excited to see what's ahead of me...i feel 2011 is already so full of magical adventures that i can't wait to live...

These past weeks have been some of the busiest of the year, where I rarely had a moment to catch breath. I shot a fashion editorial for Tokion, a little reportage on the Roosevelt Island tram for the New York Magazine, the spiritual guru Deepak Chopra for l'Officiel, a commercial in a record store for an Italian agency, then got to meet incredibly interesting people by taking their portraits for different projects: the tailor Martin Greenfield, holocaust survivor and Brooklyn dweller Chiara Clemente, the filmmaker daughter of Francesco Clemente and the beautiful couple behind Jacques Magazine, just to name a few. And finally I spent three full days shooting images for a book that will come out next Fall with Penguin. It was a crazy experience, we shot so many scenes in so little time, which made the experience incredibly intense! It was definitely a beautiful way to start wrapping up 2010...

I just spent this past weekend of true New York Indian Summer shooting and hanging out with incredibly interesting people. On Saturday I shot my DJ friends in Bushwick. This trio of amazing New Yorkers - that go by the name of Cumba Mela - left yesterday for an adventure in Colombia where they are going to shoot a documentary on Colombian music and record with local artists. And Sunday I shot Angelo Sorrenti - Mario Sorrenti's cousin - for the upcoming issue of French Magazine L'Officiel. Angelo is from Italy as well, and is a very well known trainer and designer of the holistic program AS I AM...pics to come soon!
