When a scholarship-funded stint with Karl Lagerfeld marks the start of a designer's working life the bar for ongoing success is set unusually high. In Scott Wilson's case, far from being daunting, this time at the top instilled in him a potent work ethic and set the foundations for a fruitful, not to mention eventful career.
Following this experience - completed whilst studying for MA in womenswear and millinery at the RCA - Wilson launched his eponymous label, winning critical acclaim with a series of collections whose hand finished nature and attention to detail became his signature.
Inspired by travel, far-flung civilisations and modernist architecture Wilson's ability to innovate with work that is both desirable and witty has seen him collaborate with some of the most exceptional creative minds of recent years. When not producing catwalk pieces for a who's who of fashion designers (Thierry Mugler, Hussein Chalayan, Matthew Williamson, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, Givenchy and Burberry to name a few) Wilson works on projects and one-off commissions for the likes of Repetto Paris, Absolut Vodka, Lindt, MAC, Nicole Kidman, Kylie and Madonna.

Images from some experimental photography work by a friend of mine Antonio Marguet using some of my jewellery to create abstract surreal images which reflect his very particular window on the world. The intention is not to depict the jewellery as jewellery, rather to use the aesthetic of the piece to fit or contrast with other elements in the world that he creates in each image. www.antoniomarguet.com
