Working and living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Tim Johannis has commited himself to still-life photography. He works for advertisement and magazines and has a true passion when it comes to his artwork. His photos have been exhibited and published in the Netherlands and abroad.
With his skills as studio-photographer he investigates perception. His aesthetics is often abstracted with a magical feel to it.

Especially for a groupshow curated by the people at Blend Magazine I made a picture fitting to the theme of the show: manipulation. Photoshop easily comes to mind when one thinks of manipulation and photography. Therefore I decided to make a photo without the use of photoshop or other software to manipulate, adjust or whatsoever. This way I attempt to manipulate the viewer instead of the photo. For those who are around: now on show at 'De Paraplufabriek' in Nijmegen, The Netherlands
