Tracey Emin
Royal Acamedician, is one of Britain’s best known artists of the late 20th/early 21st Century. Emin gained notoriety initially as part of the group known as the YBA’s (Young British Artists). Born in London and raised in Margate, Emin produces work that never fails to impress and shock with equal merit. Emin’s first solo show was at White Cube Gallery, London in 1994. She represented Britain at the Venice Biennale in 2007 and is currently exhibiting her first major retrospective: 20 Years which is touring Europe. Emin’s strength of character has fast cemented her as a celebrity within the U.K with a long list of the rich and famous collecting her work. For The Adam and Eve Projects Tracey spoke with her friend and fellow artist, Australian Shaun Gladwell following a routine morning swim.
