Statement

"The project began with Athena's peacock feather colour palette, a signature in Lucy's previous collections. It was developed from a mixture between the two designers collections...an immersion.
Athena was motivated to do something earthy and involving nature, mixing birds, reptiles, feathers etc....while Lucy gave the scarf another dimension by embellishing it and adding glamour. She decided to abandon colour and opted to create a metal chain mesh in black and gold plate that would interact with the fabric and allow the colours in the design to shine through. The designers wanted the mesh to echo the flow of the fabric, moving in the same way as the fabric so the two textures became one. Also, Lucy incorporated the jewels on the scarf without sewing so the wearer feels only "ONE" piece - the jewels are intertwined and unified with the scarf rather than appearing as an added extra."

Digital print on 100% silk crepe de chine. Gold and gun metal plated metal bars and 2 caged Swarovski crystal pendant drops.
